2004 Charity Info
Teen Challange International
Teen Challenge is the oldest, largest and most successful program of its kind in the world. Established in 1958 by David Wilkerson, Teen Challenge has grown to more than 150 centers in the United States and 250 centers world-wide.
Teen Challenge offers a number of services to the community, many times free of charge. These programs and services include drug education programs, prison and jail outreach programs, residential living programs and a small group ministry called Turning Point.
From The Director
Teen Challenge Ranch, a nationally recognized facility, located 6 miles east of Milford Ohio, is a faith based, drug and alcohol residential treatment center founded in 1972. Serving a 100-mile radius (Columbus, Dayton, Indianapolis, Lexington, Louisville), Cincinnati Teen Challenge is incorporated as a 501-c3 and is a tax-exempt entity in the State of Ohio.
We are also privileged to be a registered United Way Agency recipient under the classification of Substance Abuse Treatment. As such, we undergo a full audit yearly by Donald Jump & Co. CPA.
Our 9 to 12 month, long term residential based program continues to offer the tools for life-changing recovery to men between the ages of 18 to 35. Certified as an Ohio substance abuse treatment and counseling center, we operate at a capacity of 34 men with a 5-phase program - assessment, orientation, advanced, pre-grad and graduate re-entry. Students go through intensive studies, receive their GED if necessary, participate in occupational therapy, perform Samaritan services for those in need and receive life equipping skills along with job placement opportunities.
Our property consists of 165 acres, of which we actively farm a blackberry and raspberry orchard - for market. Food, tools and men's work clothes or casual dress clothes of any sort is always certainly appreciated - and used!
Teen Challenge offers a proven cure to those with life controlling substance abuse issues. I welcome you to get better acquainted with this pearl along the East Fork of the Little Miami.
Best Regards,
George Martin
