Brian's Event

I wanted my event to be different.

Not like the Poker Runs that are so popular and for a specific great cause. I wanted mine to be a non-stop ride and to benefit a new charity each year. I wanted to offer great door prizes and for the riders to feel comfortable at my event no matter what they rode in on. The emphasis being on the charity, not what you ride as I wanted my event to be open to all those riders who love to ride. Thanks to you, the Annual Charity Run has grown each year. It is a nice feeling to know you are helping someone who is leass fortunate, or helping find cures for the deadly illnesses that so many of us have lost loved ones to. I am doing my part and you are doing your part...by riding for a cause.

I truly realize that not everyone is in the position to donate to charities. It seems like we are always being approached and asked to donate for this and that. It is always easier when it hits close to home and you know that the money is going to get there. The money we raise each year goes directly to that charity it was raised for. From the registration fees, the sponsors and my out of pocket money...and if you know someone who does not ride but believes in what we are riding for, a donation would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you sincerely,
Brian Lindsay
Event Promoter

Brian's Harley Davidson

Yes, it took me 45 years to get a Harley and now I'm broke. But in April of 2002, I became the proud owner of a 2000 Road King Classic (click here to see it).

I rode dirt bikes for years, mainly in my teens. Since 1992, I've owned five motorcycles. They were all Hondas, which I loved. No breakdowns - just gas and go. I've wanted a Road King for years. It is something I can travel on, comfortable for my passenger, easy to bat around town with, and a bike that holds its value.

My Road King Classic was the right choice. I bought it from a Cincinnati firefighter, and it came with Screaming Eagle pipes and a Stage One kit, a tachometer, and highway pegs. I've added tons of chrome, a removable backrest (I have to keep my girlfriend, Shawna, happy and comfortable) and new hand grips. The most important options I put on it were the Motolights. Why wouldn't you want to be seen? Doesn't it make sense to have the road well lit at night? I also feel they improve the look of your bike. Most accidents, as you know, occur because the drivers don't see you. I run mine all day and I refuse to let a car hit me. Motolights are manufactured in Cincinnati. Rob and Tina Hollinger are the owners. It would be your brightest investment and could save your life.

Brian's Thoughts

My love for motorcycles and a desire to do my share in life to help great causes and charities, prompted me to start this event in 1997. Just before my eighteenth birthday, I bought a Suzuki 185 Enduro and kept it at my neighbor's house. I rode the street and off road for several years, borrowing performance bikes on and off into my late 20's. I moved back to Cincinnati in 1991 and have since owned four motorcycles. A very special thank you to Louis Katz, our motorcycle riding attorney who introduced me to Bob Horn who is now 81 and still riding, for showing me the beautiful backroads and wonderful country restaurants in Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio.

Over breakfast one morning, I thought wouldn't it be great to start a motorcycle charity ride. I wanted my event to be different. Not like the Poker Runs that are popular and for a great cause, I wanted mine to be non-stop and to benefit a new charity each year. I wanted to offer great door prizes and for riders to feel comfortable no matter what they rode in on. The emphasis being on the charity, not what you ride as I wanted my event open to all those riders who love to ride. The Charity Run is growing each year thanks to you. It is a nice feeling to know you are helping someone who is less fortunate, or helping find cures for the deadly diseases that so many of us have lost loved ones to. I'm doing my part and you are doing yours by riding for a cause.

Thanks so much again,

Brian Lindsay

Brian's Personal One-On-One Fitness Training

Each training session lasts around one hour, and during that time I will personally supervise your workout in my private health studio. I'll show you how to correctly warm-up, stretch, and perform your excercises effectively and safely, for quick, injury-free progress.

To ensure you get the quickest results, all the main areas influencing physical fitness are addressed- healthy eating, optimal excercise, and proper rest and recovery;

Healthy Eating
Healthy eating does not involve severe, restrictive dieting, with bird-sized portions of bland, tasteless food! I don't recommend any such approach. Chances are, I will be asking you to eat more often to speed up fat loss and muscle growth!

Don't be dismayed, either, by the mind-numbing array of fad-diets recommending countless, conflicting dietary strategies. The nutritional strategy I recommend certainly isn't some 'Johnny-come-lately' diet fad. In fact, it is based on the healthy hunter-gatherer diet that kept mankind going strong for over 2 million years! It is healthy, it is enjoyable, and it works!

Optimal Excercise
Conflicting advice is common when one is seeking the best approach to excercise. I will help you cut through all the confusion and show you how myself and others maintain low bodyfat levels year-round with a minimum of fuss.

I will also show you how to perform the best weight training movements to quickly increase your strength and give your physique that toned, athletic look, how to boost your cardio-vascular fitness in a time-efficient manner (no need for endless hours of cardio!) and how to construct a simple but effective stretching routine, that will keep your muscles supple and joints healthy

Rest and Recovery
Proper recovery is often overlooked in a fitness program, but vital to ensure you get the most from your training!

I will show you how to enhance your quality of sleep (sound sleep is one of your most powerful health-enhancing and anti-aging weapons!), what to eat before and after training, what supplements may be of benefit, and other important recovery methods that can help speed up your progress. I'll take the total approach to your health and physique goals to ensure you get the greatest possible results in the shortest possible time! A highly effective training and nutrition plan will be formulated to suit your goals, individual requirements, and time availability!
